Sunbird Aloes 'Baby Bicolor'
3.5L Only
This delightful little aloe has an extremely long flower period - it produces its two-tone red-to-white racemes (normally unbranched inflorescences) any time from midsummer to spring. The flowers last for a long time and multiple inflorescences follow each other. The well-shaped rosette has green leaves with white spines.
The plant can produce stem shoots and allowing two or three of these to grow to flowering size will help to stabilize the plant and enhance the flower show. Remove excess shoots close to the main stem with a keen blade.
'Baby Bicolor' is best treated as a container subject as it needs to be protected from severe frost. In a medium sized pot it combines well with 'Bush Baby Yellow' as the plant shapes and flower colours complement each other.
