This stunning medium to large green plant surprises with long, curved racemes covered in large, blood-red flowers from June to August. A mature plant that produces multiple branched inflorescences is an unforgettable sight.

It will take a long time for this plant to produce a short stem and may, therefore, be classified as stemless. This means that those beautiful flowers are carried at eye level for many years and will, therefore, remain a focal point near the front (Northern side) of any rockery when it flowers.
