Extra-large, stemmed feature plant. Multiple, wide inflorescences spread their upright, bold red racemes across the canopy of the plant, from late autumn to mid-winter. From end-to-end the 4, well-branched inflorescences of a strongly growing plant can measure more than 2.5 meters. This makes a very bold statement indeed.
The young plant occasionally produces stem shoots. These should be removed before they spoil the symmetry of the aloe. Mature plants divide their rosettes, and this will increase the flowering performance of the plant. Because of its size, “Norman’s Red” is best planted in the open garden or rockery.
