Sunbird Aloes 'Spring Prize'
This is a very late winter flowering, medium-sized, stem-less aloe. Multiple, branched inflorescences start showing around midwinter and the speed of their development depends mainly on the daytime temperature at the time. The first bi-colored, red-to-cream racemes can open their first flowers as early as the last winter month (normally younger plants) or as late as early spring (established plants are grown in the open), particularly in colder areas. The more inflorescences produced, the closer to the rosette the racemes. This creates a very neat and unique package. Note the unopened inflorescence in the picture, taken in early spring. 'Spring Prize' is happy as a pot or garden subject. Available in 8L bag size.
